Jimboomba Social Touch Association Inc (JSTA) RULES

 Season 2 July - November 2022

1. All Rules as per Australian Touch Football 8th Edition (copy of rule book in canteen or available online). We encourage all players to learn the rules, to improve your game experience.

 

2. Fees are as Follows:

* Adults (Mixed):                                                                      $1,200 per Team ( $1100 if paid in full by Round 4)

             

 

3. Season start Tues 19th & Thurs 21st July 2022 (season will conclude in November).  Complete fee's are due by finals.  It is the Captain’s responsibility to chase outstanding fees from team members. 

 

4. A minimum of 8 Players must be registered on your Team Sheet by Week 4 or it will not be considered a team. A minimum of 8 players and a maximum of 14 players are permitted per team.

 

5. On the field, Teams will be a mix of 3 Females and 3 Males. Teams will consist of no more than 3 Males on the field at any one time and require a minimum of 4 players to make a match. Junior boys (up to and including 13 years of age) can play as a Female player.

 

6. Fill-in Players from other JSTA registered teams are allowed, to enable a team to play with a full complement of 6 players on the field (no substitutes). The game can commence with a minimum of 4 players from the one team and once that team has 6 of their own players present they are not permitted to use any fill-in players from other teams (not even as substitutes). All fill-in players MUST be registered players with JSTA (for insurance).

 

7. There will be NO SWEARING or SLEDGING at Referees or other players. These actions will result in suspension, with or without a judiciary hearing.

 

8. Any incidents on field that the referee feels unnecessary, or contravenes the playing rules, will be reported. If this incident is a breech of rules there will be a judiciary hearing held. It is the right of JSTA to suspend or ban any player that breeches the rules.

 

9. Any player that is sent from the field for the ‘remainder of the game’ will automatically receive a 2 week suspension, without the need for a judiciary (suspended from both Tuesday and Thursday competitions for 2 weeks).

 

10. If an incident requires a judiciary, it will be held by the Committee Members of the club and all parties will be notified via phone or email. The President of JSTA (judiciary chairperson, as per ATF rules) will make the final call on the make up of judiciary members, in case of a conflict of interest. The decision handed down by judiciary is final and no appeals will be entered into. If there is a suspension applied to a player/official it affects only JSTA.

 

11. Every team must have the same color shirts with Numbers on the back by finals . No jumpers are to be worn over the uniform, and no team shirt means you will not play. No Steel tag boots allowed - molded or blade soles only.

 

12. All players must register via My Sideline for insurance and finals qualifications purposes.

13. You must play (& sign on) a minimum of 60% of Games to be eligible for finals and there are to be no fill-in players for the finals except in the case of a serious injury (this must be previously approved by the President or Vice President).

 

14. Times for games are as follows (subject to change based on final team numbers):

* Tuesday Nights - 6:30pm, 7:20pm and 8:10pm sharp

* Thursday Nights - 6:30pm, 7:20pm and 8:10pm sharp

If there are not enough (4) team members present to take the field after 10 minutes of the game start time, the game will be considered a forfeit (5 nil loss). (Please also refer to Rule 6 above).

Grand Final Celebations

 

Prizes will be presented to winning teams on each Grand Final night. A meal will provided to all who attend similiar to last year.

Our Financial Statements are up to date and all current financial members can request a copy of these or the AGM Minutes by applying in writing (via the email address on this website, or handing a letter to one of the above mentioned club officials). These will then be provided within 28 days of the date your request is received.

Tuesday Comp

A Grade is positions 1-2 on the Table. B Grade is positions 3-6 on the Table. C Grade is positions 7-10 on the Table.

 

Finals Week 1 (Qualifying Finals)

A Grade

1 v 2 in a ‘Best of 3 Games Series’

B Grade  

1v2 – winner to GF, loser to play winner of 3v4

3v4 – winner plays the loser of 1v2. Loser is eliminated.

C Grade  

1v2 – winner to GF, loser to play winner of 3v4

3v4 – winner plays the loser of 1v2. Loser is eliminated.

 

Finals Week 2 (Semi Finals)

A Grade

1 v 2 in a ‘Best of 3 Games Series’

B Grade

Loser of 1v2 QF plays winner of 3v4 QF. Loser is eliminated.

C Grade

Loser of 1v2 QF plays winner of 3v4 QF. Loser is eliminated.

 

Finals Week 3 (Grand Finals)

A Grade

1 v 2 in a ‘Best of 3 Games Series’

B Grade

Winner 1v2 QF plays winner of SF. 

C Grade

Winner 1v2 QF plays winner of SF.

Here is a quick run down on how the 3 weeks of Finals will be played. 

 

Thursday Comp

A Grade is positions 1-4 on the 'A Pool' Table. B Grade is positions 5-8 on the 'A Pool' Table. C Grade is positions 1-4 on the 'B Pool' Table. D Grade is positions 5-8 on the 'B Pool' Table

In Week 2 there will be a Wooden Spoon playoff between team 9 on the 'B Pool' Table, and the loser of the D Grade 3v4 Qualifying Final.

 

Finals Week 1 (Qualifying Finals)

A Grade

1v2 – winner to GF, loser to play winner of 3v4

3v4 – winner plays the loser of 1v2. Loser is eliminated.

B Grade  

1v2 – winner to GF, loser to play winner of 3v4

C Grade
